The ability to utilise database(s) whilst out of the office is a key function of Legrand CRM. The system enables users to be mobile yet actively access and maintain the contact management system.
Synchronization is the key function that enables this. For any business with laptop users who travel or wish to use their database outside of the office this is a must have function. Additionally, synchronization is a standard feature within Legrand.
The basic premise of synchronization is that a master database resides somewhere to which laptop and/or other remote users synchronise. This involves a copy (or part thereof depending on access rights of an individual user) being placed on the computer(s) which will synchronise to the master database. The allows the copy to be accessed and used despite not being connected to the corporate network. Once they are able to reconnect they can synchronise, brining in changes made to the master database in their absence as well as updating it with their changes (e.g. new contacts, meetings, updates notes and alike).
