ABA Job Clone Utility for Legrand CRM
Job
clone is a new utility for sites
using the optional Legrand customer
services module (which many refer to
as the job or projects module).
The
function of the clone utility is
best explained through example.
Consider the creation of a customer
service issue or job which has a
series of tasks associated with it.
Often a new customer service issue
or job will be of a similar nature
to a previous job and will require
the same series of tasks to apply to
it.
Our utility enables
users to select two jobs - the
original and a new job. Processing
will then clone
(copy) the tasks for the first and
create them as new uncompleted tasks
associated with the new job.
The
utility includes a number of
configurable options such as how to
handle the due by date (i.e. add a
specified date range or manually
specify a new due date) and which
contact to link the new tasks to.
The
utility is designed for sites that
use the jobs module and often have
to manually recreate a series of tasks for a job
that is similar or the same as
tasks that applied to a previous
job.,

Users simply need to enter relevant
ticket numbers, specify a rule for
the dates of tasks then execute the
clone function.
